Golden Eagles Control Late Innings in Tuesday Triumph
NEW ORLEANS – Southern Miss scored nine of its 11 runs in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth innings Tuesday as it captured an 11-6 victory over host Tulane on Greer Field at Turchin Stadium. The Golden Eagles improved to 26-15 overall, while the Green Wave fell to 22-19. USM second baseman Nick Monistere went 4-for-6 with a double and four RBI. Left fielder Davis Gillespie, who scored three times, also doubled. Third baseman Gabe Broadus posted a 3-for-4 effort.
