8. Edd Roush, CF (Oakland City)

Roush rates with the best hitters of his day. The 5-foot-11 center fielder spent most of his career with the Cincinnati Reds. Roush captured two NL batting crowns (1917, 1919) during that stretch. He would finish his 18-year career with a .323 batting average, and a plaque in the Hall of Fame.
