Rockets Come Up Short in 4-3 Extra-Inning Contest at Purdue Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Toledo baseball team forced extra innings against Purdue Fort Wayne, but were held off the scoreboard in the extra frames as the Mastodons took a 4-3, 13-inning victory at Mastadon Field on Wednesday. The Rockets (19-22) rallied from a 3-0 deficit to tie the game, but could not get the go-ahead run across as Purdue Fort Wayne (15-25) won its second extra-inning game this season. Freshman Charlie Scholvin went 1-for-3 with two RBIs including a game-tying double in the seventh. Senior Owen Jackson also went 1-for-3 and drew three walks. Toledo used six different pitchers...
