Softball/baseball roundup: Greenville Lady Lions drop season finale; Lions beat Denison 8-4

Greenville’s Lady Lions played some of their best softball of the season to lead Princeton 5-1 through the first four innings of Friday’s District 13-5A game. But Princeton, which is headed to the playoffs, rallied with 12 runs in the fifth and five in the sixth to claim an 18-5 victory. The Lady Lions wrapped up district play at 0-12. Princeton, which went 6-6 in district play, advanced to the bi-district playoffs to face Forney. The Lady Panthers are moving up to Class 6A next season.
