Softball Falls In Wednesday Action at Purdue
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - - Senior left fielder Kaitlyn Mathews blasted her fourth home run of the season to give Ball State a 1-0 lead in the second inning Wednesday evening at Bittinger Stadium, but it was not enough as Purdue rallied for a 6-1 win. It was Mathews third home run in the last four games and helped the Cardinals (22-25) jump ahead early in its final non-conference game of the season.
