TSSAA champion FACS boys basketball hires Shelvie Rose as coach after one year at East

First Assembly Christian School has hired Shelvie Rose as its next boys basketball coach. Rose, who spent last season as the Memphis East boys coach, won a state championship at Overton High in 2023. It was Overton's first TSSAA 4A state championship. Rose spent four years at Overton before leading East least season. At FACS, he will also serve as assistant athletic director in this new role. “His reputation as a man of great character and integrity precedes him, and we are honored to welcome him to the FACS family," Head of School Dr. Bryan Sanders said in a statement....
