Walsh ties goals mark as Bears rough up Plattsburgh, 17-4
POTSDAM, N.Y.—The SUNY Potsdam men’s lacrosse team (8-5, 3-3 SUNYAC) stayed in the playoff hunt with a lopsided 17-4 victory over Plattsburgh State (4-11, 0-6) on Wednesday evening. Graduate student midfielder Peyton Walsh (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) scored five goals to tie Bears Hall of Famer Joe Schoener ’85 for the program goals mark with 134. He also raised his career point total to 184, tying Hall of Famer Jedidiah Hammill ’03 for third place on Potsdam’s scoring list. Junior midfielder Drew Rose (Brasher Falls, N.Y./St. Lawrence Central) also had five points for Potsdam on three goals and two assists.…
