Bears Split Day One At Sun Belt Championship
MACON -- Beach volleyball wrapped up the opening day of the Sun Belt Conference Championship Thursday, toppling fourth-seed College of Charleston before falling to the top-seed Georgia State. The Bears took a tightly contested contest against the Cougars 3-2, marking their first ever win in the Sun Belt post-season. The No. 4 pairing of Liv Diaz and Kathryn Corbett, and the No. 5 pairing of Hollis Engel and Alyssa Scoggins beat their opponents 21-14, 21-15 and 21-16, 21-17, respectively.
