Galloway wins javelin competition on day one of Kip Janvrin Open

INDIANOLA, Iowa – Troy Galloway of the Simpson College men’s track and field team opened up competition at the Kip Janvrin Open by winning the javelin throw in a season-best mark. Galloway recorded a mark of 48.19 meters, a new season best and less than two meters off his personal best. Spencer Moon competed at the prestigious Drake Relays, recording a time of 3:50.75 in the 1,500 meters, around three seconds off his own school record.
