Grottle, Smoot Named McWhorter Scholar-Athlete of the Year Nominees

Apr 25, 2024 | Football, Women's Swimming and Diving BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M's Abby Grottle of the women's swimming & diving team and Will Smoot of the football team have been nominated for the H. Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athlete Post-Graduate Scholarship. The scholarship has been presented by the SEC since 1986 to the league's top male and female scholar-athletes. Grottle boasts a 3.88 cumulative GPA while working toward her degree in business management. She will graduate in May and attend law school at SMU in the fall.
