Jesuit and Mount Carmel win regional track and field team championships

Jesuit and Mount Carmel won Class 5A regional track and field team championships on the strength of their distance runners Wednesday at Hahnville. Jesuit, a regional track team champion for the first time in school history, clinched the team points lead when junior Brady Mullen and sophomore Brady Monahan finished first and third, respectively, in the 3,200 meters. Mullen also ran anchor on the winning 4x800 relay that finished less than one second ahead of Brother Martin.
