Kovacs Breaks Program 3000m Steeplechase Record on Opening Day of Penn Relays
PHILADELPHIA, Penn . – Harvard track & field competed at a high-level on day one of the Penn Relays, as three Crimson student-athletes earned top-five finishes in their respective events at Franklin Field. In Harvard's last event of the day, first-year Ferenc Kovacs set a new program record in the men's 3,000m steeplechase, posting a time of 8:43.98. HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS: The day began on the throwing fields, as first-year Emilia Kolokotroni kicked-off Harvard's time at the Penn Relays in the women's hammer throw.
