Rumson-Fair Haven girls track roars into Penn Relays final as star junior makes gutsy return

PHILADELPHIA – In early March, Clemmie Lilley’s right ankle blew up like a balloon. The Rumson-Fair Haven High School track star feared the worst: She’d suffered a badly broken leg in 2019; could this be a residual injury? So Lilley, who won the indoor state title in the girls 800 in February, stopped running and cross-trained instead, logging time on the elliptical and stationary bike.
