VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota men’s basketball announced the addition of Ashton Smith to the 2024-25 roster. Smith is a 6-9 junior forward from Oral Roberts University. Smith spent two seasons at Texas A&M before transferring to Oral Roberts last season. The Spring, Texas, native saw action in 16 games for the Golden Eagles. He scored a season-high nine points and grabbed six rebounds at Denver. Smith averaged 6.4 minutes per game and 2.1 points per game on 72.2 percent shooting from the floor.
