LA MIRADA---The Biola softball team challenged nationally-ranked No. 17 CUI in a close 2-0 game at Freedom Field. Both teams were scoreless in the first six innings but CUI would pull ahead with two runs in the top of the seventh. Biola brought energy into the bottom of the seventh but would fall short against Concordia's pitcher Cortney Koelmans. Kayla Bousquette threw 6.1 innings against Concordia, successfully shutting them down until the seventh inning.
