Softball Splits With Hunter College
NEWARK, NJ | The Rutgers-Newark softball team split with non-conference opponents, Hunter College, Thursday afternoon at Frederick Douglass Field. With the split, Rutgers-Newark moved to 6-28 while Hunter moved to 8-14. Game 1: Rutgers-Newark 6, Hunter 2 The Scarlet Raiders opened the game with four runs in the bottom of the first. Kayla Cardozo plated the first run of the game with a fielder’s choice RBI before Keelin O’Brien hit a two-RBI double to push their lead to 3-0.
