Two Baseball Players Named to National Watch Lists

CHICAGO (April 25, 2024) – Amid a strong start to the season for the UIC baseball team, two of its players have been named to national awards watchlists, with catcher Jackson Bessette (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin) being named to the Buster Posey Award Mid-Season Watchlist, and closer Reece Lawler (Gurnee, Ill./Iowa) earning recognition on the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Mid-Season Watchlist.
