The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women’s track and field team competed in the Drake Alternative hosted by the Warhawks Thursday. Paige Fassbender (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) claimed gold in the 1500 leading a four-Warhawk contingent to place among the top eight in the event. Fassbender crossed the line with a season best time of 4:49.37. Katie Erb (Winnebago, Ill./Winnebago) (4:51.58), Renee Forystek (Waukesha, WI/North) (4:51.91) and Payton Scoggin (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trails) (4:57.37) all registered personal bests to finish third, fifth and seventh respectively.
