Augusta Women’s Tennis Closes Season in PBC Tournament

COLUMBUS, Ga – The Augusta University women's tennis team wrapped its season with a 2-5 loss to the Georgia College & State Bobcats in the first round of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament. The Jags close the year 11-7 overall. Augusta took an early 1-0 after winning two of the three doubles matches. Andrea Gonzalez and Juliana Martinez defeated Ashton Morrison and Jada Young 6-4. Madeline Frediani and Camila Taborga defeated Chiara Santori and Laura Almargo 6-3. Andrea Gonzalez carded Augusta's only win at the No. 3 singles spot, taking a 7-5, 7-5 victory.
