Beach Volleyball Falls in WCC Championship Match

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - In the final day of the West Coast Conference Championships at Ocean Park Beach on Friday, the Pepperdine beach volleyball program swept Saint Mary's (19-16) to reach the WCC Championship match, but PCH Cup rival and #9-ranked LMU would take home the title with a 3-1 win. The Waves (22-16) began the day with a 4-1 loss to the Lions which put them in the contender's bracket. With the win the final, LMU (27-13) clinched the automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.
