Despite D’Amato’s Two Homerun Day Knights Fall to Warriors, 9-8

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The FDU Knights (15-24, 10-11) took on the Merrimack Warriors (19-22, 12-10) for game one of their three-game conference series which resulted in a 9-8 loss for the Knights. Senior infielder Hunter D’Amato had two homeruns in today’s game to record two RBI’s for the Knights. Junior left-handed pitcher Patrick Gardner started the game on the mound for FDU and completed six successful innings. Gardner struck out five in today’s outing, issuing only three walks.
