Lake Country Lutheran routs Brookfield Academy

HARTLAND — Lake Country Lutheran’s baseball team completed the season sweep of Brookfield Academy, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to invoke the mercy rule and beat its Midwest Classic Conference rivals 10-0 on Thursday. Gavin Schieffer led the charge offensively for LCL, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored.
