Marywood Set Back by Griffins in Series Opener

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University lost the opening game of a pivotal Atlantic East Conference baseball series against Gwynedd Mercy University. The Griffins prevailed 2-1, and the two teams will continue play Saturday in Montgomery County. Gwynedd Mercy (10-23) scored the game-winning run in the top of the eighth inning on a wild pitch.
