By: Jonathan Singh BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU baseball team surpassed its win total from last season by picking up its 20th win of the season, after beating Delaware State 8-1 in game 1 of its three-game series against the Hornets. The Sharks took a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning after Jake Mastillo smashed a two-run blast to center. Carlton Harper and Jacob Pipercic both drove in a pair of runs in the sixth as the Sharks opened up a 6-1 lead. Pipercic finished the game with three RBIs.
