Mavericks In Second After Opening Round of the NSIC Championships

SMITHVILLE, Mo. --- The Minnesota State women's golf team sits in second place after shooting a 305 in the opening round of the NSIC Championships. The Mavericks are five shots back of Augustana who shot 300 and three shots ahead of third-place Winona State. The championships are being held at the Paradise Pointe Outlaw course; a par-72 course that is playing to 5,950 yards. The average score on the course for the opening day was an 85.10, collectively, the five Mavericks averaged a 77.
