Melvin Council Jr. transferring: 5 possible landing spots

Louisville is going through a total rebuild after another tough season in 2023-24. That led the Cardinals to fire Kenny Payne and hire Pat Kelsey, resulting in over a dozen players leaving from this past season’s roster. Kelsey will need to rebuild through the transfer portal and has already begun the process with some splash additions, bringing in Terrence Edwards Jr., Koren Johnson, J’Vonne Hadley and Chucky Hepburn, among others. Council Jr. could become the next player to join what is suddenly a resurgent roster as he would fit in as yet another mid-major transfer for the Cardinals who is a strong scorer. Council Jr. would also provide additional depth while having the potential to become a key contributor off the bench for Kelsey.
