Mustangs close opening round at NSIC Championships in ninth place
SMITHVILLE, Mo. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's golf team battled rain and a soaked course in shooting an opening round score of 55-over-par 343 and is currently in ninth place at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship. The 54-hole, 12-team championship is being played at the par-72, 5,950-yard, Paradise Pointe-Outlaw Course. Isabella Jacobs fired SMSU's low-round on Friday with a 12-over 84 with seven pars and is 26 th in the 60-player field.
