New Mexico State Claims Friday’s Series Opener

JACKSONVILLE – Jacksonville State dropped the opening game of a key Conference USA series to New Mexico State, 8-4, on Friday night at Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium. The Gamecocks' returned to CUSA play after a weekend off as the weekend series with the Aggies began the second half of the CUSA slate as teams start to battle for the eight spots in the conference tournament in late May.
