MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Trey Yesavage came within one out of a no hitter and the offense backed him with double-digit runs as No. 7 East Carolina defeated Memphis 14-0 in seven innings in the opener of an American Athletic Conference series opener at FedExPark. The Pirates (33-8, 12-4 AAC) won their sixth-straight game while improving to 11-6 on the road this season and 4-3 in league away contests. The Tigers fell to 18-24 overall and 6-10 in AAC play.
