MACON - Junior pitcher Bryant Olson has been named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Midseason Watch List, the association announced Wednesday. The lefty has pitched 18.2 innings this season, recording 25 strikeouts and a 3.37 ERA. Olson leads the Southern Conference with seven saves, a stat that is currently tied for 12th in all of NCAA DI. The Monroe, Ga. native joined the Bears this season from Gordon State where he appeared in 31 games and recorded 97 strikeouts.
