Ranking the 10 greatest Calgary Stampeders of all time
8. Henry Burris (1997-99, 2005-11)
Burris, who retired ranked third on the CFL’s all-time passing yardage list, threw more touchdowns as a Stampeder than anyone else (203).
He led the league in air strikes three times in Calgary and was its Most Outstanding Player in 2010. Two years prior, he won the Grey Cup and was the title game’s MVP. Burris was an understudy during the Stamps’ 1998 Grey Cup season, as well.
Burris also spent time with Saskatchewan, Hamilton, and Ottawa. According to the CFL Guide & Record Book (2023), he has the third-most career touchdown passes (373) in league history.
