Softball falls in doubleheader to FHSU
BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Northeastern State took the field for their final Friday doubleheader of the season, taking two losses to Fort Hays State. The early game saw the RiverHawks (8-35, 3-21 MIAA) get left off the board by the Tigers (26-22, 10-14 MIAA) in a 4-0 setback. Despite the shutout pitched by FHSU in the circle, the RiverHawks equaled the opposition's hit total with five. Maddie Messenger recorded a two-hit performance in the defeat, while Korynn Tindel pitched her fifth complete game of the season and only allowed two earned runs.
