Thunder men’s golf team tops Elmhurst in dual match

Wheaton, Ill. — For the final event of the regular season, the Wheaton men’s golf team remained in town to face the Elmhurst University Bluejays in a dual match at Cantigny Golf. Four Thunder golfers competed in Thursday’s showdown, and Wheaton eventually claimed a narrow 320-326 victory over their local opponents. The junior duo of Sam Obitts and Jonah Swartz again led the way for Wheaton in today’s competition, with the former shooting a team-best score of 77 (+5) and the latter coming in just one stroke behind him with a +6 78.
