Two Eagles place at conference meet

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- Two Chadron State College men placed Friday afternoon as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Track and Field Meet got underway in Grand Junction, Colo. Senior Alec Penfield of Lusk, Wyo., placed fifth in the high jump by clearing 6-foot, 4 ¼ inches and junior Christopher Jennings of O'Neill was eighth in the hammer throw with a career-best mark of 166-4 ¼. Jennings' previous best was 160-9. Coach Jake Gruver also was proud of another Chadron State hammer thrower.
