Baseball drops DH to Pioneers, Sunday’s games rescheduled

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire baseball team dropped a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) doubleheader to UW-Platteville 9-2 and 11-4 on Saturday at Carson Park. The series finale for the four-game stint was also rescheduled on Saturday. The series was originally scheduled to conclude on Sunday, April 28, but that doubleheader has been rescheduled to Wednesday, May 1 at 1 p.m., with both games still being played at Carson Park. Saturday’s action saw the Blugolds knock 18 hits across two games, but they couldn’t cash them in for enough runs to take down the Pioneers.…
