Baseball: Stonington scores eight in fifth to pull away over New London
STONINGTON — Dylan Cimini went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI and Stonington scored eight runs after two outs in the bottom of the fifth to enforce the 10-run rule in a 13-3 Eastern Connecticut Conference inter-division victory Thursday over New London. Finn Eck (3 hits, run, 3 RBI) and Aaron LoPresto (2 hits, 2 runs, 2 RBI) drove in runs in the fifth inning for the Bears (6-4). Jacob Schrage also had two hits and scored two runs. LoPresto and Sean Durham combined on a two-hitter. Stonington hosts Woodstock Academy on Saturday. — Rich Zalusky
