Bishop McCort Catholic’s Bo Bassett earns 20-Under U.S. Open freestyle title as a 17-year-old

LAS VEGAS – Bishop McCort Catholic sophomore Bo Bassett completed an impressive feat as he won the U.S. Open 20-Under freestyle title at 65 kilograms Saturday. The 2024 PIAA Class 2A champion defeated California's Aden Valencia 5-2 in the final as a 17-year-old. Bassett will compete for Team USA July 11-13 in Peru. Bassett was able to back up the performance of his younger brother Keegan, who earned 15-Under freestyle and Greco-Roman championships and was named most outstanding wrestler in freestyle.
