Blue Jays’ Relay Highlights Strong Weekend at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Johns Hopkins men’s track & field team sent its distance and relay teams to compete at the Penn Relays this weekend, with a first-place finish by the 4×400 team highlighting an impressive meet for the Blue Jays. Competition kicked off Sunday with the 3000-meter steeplechase in which Emmanuel Leblond and Connor Oiler both had career-best outings. Leblond was the first to cross the line, finishing in 14 th with a time of 8:59.23 to break his own program record and become the first Hopkins runner to go sub-nine minutes in program history.
