Carey signed before camp

NORTH BAY, Ont. — The North Bay Battalion, which opened a two-day spring development camp Saturday, has signed centre Ryder Carey to an education and development agreement, the Ontario Hockey League club announced. North Bay made right-shot centre Carey of the Oakville Rangers U16s its first-round pick, 16th overall, in the OHL Priority Selection on April 12. He came to terms with the Battalion the next day. In 42 regular-season and playoff games, Carey, who turns 16 on Aug. 2, scored 30 goals and added 36 assists for 66 points. The Oakville, Ont., resident measures six feet and 174 pounds....
