Chau Smith-Wade Drafted in Fifth Round by Carolina Panthers

DETROIT (April 27, 2024) – Washington State cornerback Chau Smith-Wade was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the fifth round of the 2024 National Football League Draft Saturday. Smith-Wade was selected as the No. 22 pick of the fifth round and No. 157 overall. Smith-Wade is the first Cougar drafted by the Panthers since offensive lineman Zack Williams was taken in the sixth round of the 2011 draft.
