Hornets Take Series Opener with Ferrum

WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University baseball team started the first of the final series of the regular season on Saturday at home as the Ferrum College Panthers came to town. The Hornets (24-13, 13-8) came back after being down 2-0 early in the second to secure an 8-5 win over the Panthers. Jacob Bell got the start and went the first five innings giving up eight hits and five runs. Anthony Arrichiello went the next three innings only giving up a hit with two strikeouts before Joey Mitchell came in for the scoreless, hit less ninth for the save.…
