Kersten Sets Single Season Wins Record; Women’s Tennis Defeats Lynchburg in Regular Season Finale

LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph women’s tennis team hosted the University of Lynchburg in its regular season home finale on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats went out winners as they defeated the Hornets 7-2. It is the first win for Randolph over Lynchburg since 2017 and ends a five-match winless streak to the Hornets. Lena Kersten (Bonn, Germany/Otto Kuhne Schule) defeated Lauren Pascadlo 6-0, 6-0 at first singles. For Kersten, it is her 19th singles win of the season and sets a Randolph single season record for singles wins. Gianna Cabrera (Portsmouth, Va.) won 6-3, 6-2 over Emily Wren at sixth singles.…
