Local sports roundup: Winona track thrives in La Crosse, SMU softball gets closer to clinching postseason

Winona’s boys and girls track teams both finished near the top of their respective standings Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Relays on the campus of University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The girls had the higher finish of the two, placing third in the 16-team standings with 85 points. Holmen won the title at 102.5, and Hayward was second with 90.5.
