Men’s Tennis Drops Final Match of Regular Season to Houghton

HOUGHTON, NY – The Alfred University Men’s Tennis team lost their final match of the regular season to Houghton University by a score of 9-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Saxons clinched the four seed for the postseason and will look to regroup before returning to Houghton next Friday for a rematch in the semi-finals of the Empire 8 tournament. In doubles action, Matthew Bittel (Wellsville, NY/Wellsville) and Bill Tran (Hanoi, Vietnam/Grace Christian) kept things competitive as the lost 8-3 from the #3 spot.
