Miners move closer to GLVC Tournament after split with Peacocks

By: John Kean, Athletic Communications Director ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's softball team inched closer to a spot in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament as it split a doubleheader Saturday afternoon with Upper Iowa on Senior Day at the S&T Softball Field. The Miners (23-29, 13-11 GLVC) dropped the opener to the Peacocks (17-33, 7-17 GLVC) 1-0 in nine innings, but came back in game two by using a six-run fourth inning to propel them to an 8-0 victory.
