Owls Drop Middle Game at USF
TAMPA, Fla. – A four-run second inning was too much to overcome on Saturday as USF took the middle game from Florida Atlantic by a final of 8-5. The teams will play the rubber game at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Christian Adams launched a two-run homer in the top of the first inning – his second in as many days – to give the Owls (8-9 AAC) an early lead. USF (8-9 AAC) responded with four runs in a long bottom of the second. FAU starter Tyler Murphy could find his control, walking the first three batters of the inning....
