Pioneers Heat Up to Defeat Spartans, 11-3
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The Norfolk State baseball team dropped a road contest at Sacred Heart, 11-3 on Saturday afternoon. Sacred Heart (22-19, 17-6 NEC) took the first lead of the day in the first inning, tallying two runs on four hits. The Spartans (11-31, 6-17) kept the damage minimal, getting out of a bases load jam with one out to close the inning. An RBI double and single on successive at bats pushed the gap to 4-0.
