Shepherd Softball Knocks Off West Chester

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (23-26, 13-18 PSAC East) knocked off West Chester in game one with a 4-3 win in 11 innings (30-20, 18-13 PSAC East) in PSAC East softball action at Sara Cree Field on Saturday. The nightcap was called in the top of the fourth inning due to darkness. Shepherd took a 2-0 in the first inning behind an RBI-single by junior third baseman Lauren Moore (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora/Trevecca Nazarene) and a run-scoring double from freshman first baseman Brenna Collis (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville).
