Softball Splits with Carthage in First Doubleheader of Weekend

The Big Blue softball team took the field for their NFCA Strikeout Cancer games on Saturday, April 27 against Carthage College. Millikin cruised to a game one win in five innings before falling in game two in ten innings. In game one, Leah Foreman’s first inning single through the left side plated the first run with Rylee Blake. Katlyn Schraeder doubled down the left field line to score Foreman later in the inning to give the Big Blue a 2-0 advantage.
