Solid Pitching Leads Cougars to Sweep of Stevens
The Misericordia University baseball used two stellar pitching performances to end its MAC Freedom schedule with a sweep of Stevens, 7-1, 2-1, Saturday at Tambur Field. Steve Rinda struck out six in 6.2 innings in the opener and Connor Maryniak and Matt Lanzendorfer combined for nine strikeouts in the nightcap. Maryniak had two hits in the opener and Garrett McIlhenney scored three runs. McIlhenney had two hits and scored twice in the nightcap.
